both are good at there purpose just a light bar
i wouldent challenge any bushes with thoes things
on the down side they are kinda weak so you might have some light vibrations on the rougher stuff

I had the challenger style on my 2000 ranger, it was ok for an addition to the stock bumper. I rear ended someone and it got bent all to hell, not that I was expecting it to hold up. but for holding lights it did that fine.

alright well im pretty sure im going to buy one, but i want it to hold up for off roading and for holding lights...could anyone help me find a pretty decent one for my truck?

any of them would be fine for mounting lights.....

as for actually protecting anything.....other than the occasional low hanging tree branch, non of them are up to that....

if ya think ya need "real" protection for off-road, then look into a full replacement front bumper/grill guard.....
