Last nite my keyswitch went bad at a gas station, the truck is still there. I can't insert the key. How do I go about removing/replacing the lock cylinder? I already removed the steering column plastic.

BTW its a '92 ranger ext cab....

thanks!

If you can't turn it to the run position I believe your only option is to drill it out.

thanks, luckily for me my dad knew a locksmith that came and picked out a pieice of brass that broke off inside the lock cylinder. $25 and no aggrivation of messing around trying to change the lock cylinder, thats worth it i think...

glad to hear you got it sorted out especially for that price. drilling them out is a royal pain in the neck.
