I just got two subs but one is a 12 and the other is a 10. Is it a bad idea to put both of these in one box? they're alpine r

Well no as long as the space for the subs are sealed from one another. And the compartments are the right size. But it's a bad idea to run two different subs with out a really good eq

dont listen to him. your correct.

also when you play a music or a frec thur a sub it will sound slightly different if its being played on a 8, 10, or 12. so if you run them both its gonna sound like mush. unless you have a high DB slope, and good cross overs to have them play both. your going to be waisting your time.

just don't do it unless you're ready to sink a lot of money and time into independent enclosures that will make them imitate the others sound...

just keep whichever one fits your application better and sell the other to help pay for the wiring, etc.

Would it still work If i ran two different amps? I have never really heard of anyone running a 12 and a 10 in the same system...maybe cus it doesnt work. anyways heres an drawing of the enclosure idea

if it was seperated would it still sound good?
