Bad gas mileage

Hi,

I have an 84 ranger, with the 2.3L single bbl.

I'm only getting like 17 mpg, 20 if I'm always on the highway. Where as I've read online other trucks of the same year getting upwards to 28 MPG.



What are you getting?
 
carb engines will never get what a fuel injected truck gets.

thats sounds right for your truck.
