if i'm looking to get an 8" wheel with a 10.5 wide tire, how much backspacing should i get to have the tires sticking out past the fender a little bit. will 3.75 be enough. or should i search around for like a 3" bs wheel

3.75 is perfect. I'm runnin' 33x12.50's on 15X8's with 3.75 backspacing and they only rub a little on my radius arms. A 10.5 in. tire should be no problemo. They won't stick out much, but more than stock rims.

Update. Oops, just double checked the backspacing on my M/T classic II's and they are listed at
3 5/16 backspacing.

mine only have 3in of backspacing and they stick out about 3in on each side

I just bought 15 x 8 pro comps with 3.75 in BS and i hope they stick out a decent amount, i dont know if i would trust using wheel spacers also to add more or not?

yeah i just want them to stick out some so hopefully they will
