I want to get some backup lights for my Mazda, the kind that strap onto the hitch receiver but was wondering how hard they are to wire up/install? Thinking about fog lights and driving lights as well in front but thats another story for later.

Ill probably go with the Navigator brand backup lights from etrailer.com as they are pretty cheap and will mount where i want them to.

Anybody have any pictures, tips suggestions?????

Thanks

As long as they don't draw too much current, it should be simply splicing the power wire into the reverse lights' wire, and then grounding the negative wire to the chassis' metal. Shouldn't be a difficult job at all.

The kit comes with two 55 watt halogen, fully encased lights. Would they draw alot of load?

You will need to wire in a relay for those. If it is a kit, it should come with a relay and instructions.
If not there are many of us here that can explain it to you.

^^^ Agree! Those will draw too much, and require a relay.
