Back in a Ranger

I bought a Ranger today. I am going Saturday to Taylor, MI (Detroit) to pick it up.

Specs:
- 2005 Ranger Supercab XLT
- 35,xxx miles
- 4 door
- 4.0
- Automatic
- All the options

I got it for a REALLY good price IMO. I got it for $11,xxx out the door after sales tax.

I will post more pictures when I get it home, but for now the picture below is off the Ford dealers site.

I love that blue on the Rangers. Then again, I also like yellow & burnt irange for Ranger colors too.

You are going to love having the four doors, wish my '05' had them. Got the 4.0, 4.10, manual with ext cab. One thing I really don't like in mine is the LCD for the mileage and radio, hard to see at times. Other than that, love it! If you are going way up there, might just want to go a little bit North 10 miles to Plymouth Rd and a bit west and take a drive thru the Roush place. Just if you are into the new Mustangs, 28156 Plymouth Rd.

Nice purchase! I love my '05 XLT

I got it home tonight. I drove right at 800 round trip to get it.

I was impressed with the mileage it got on the 400 mile trip home. I found out it has 4.10 gears. With the average speed 76 mph, the tach at anywhere from 2400 to 2800 rpm's I got 18.2 mpg.

There's no better way to "break in" a vehicle (as in get the driver's seat contoured to your butt!) than a nice long road trip.
