I guess you forgot to mention the high tech alarm you installed when you started posting everywhere what you have in your truck. That's the most stupidest thing to ever do. It's like posting that you have a $1000 bill in your glove box, and be surprized no one has stolen it. Funny how they took the time to put the dash cover back on. When my ranger was broken into that cover was in two pieces.

4x4 switches my ass. One picture you posted you can clearly see the switches still there. Then 2 down you see the switch gone.

Be carefull on insurance fraud. You can get busted for it, hardly seems worth it for a piddly $1000. How much of a cut did you promise your buddy?

I meant to say that they TOOK IT OUT..like they broke it out of the dash! The insurance company doesnt even know because all I have is liability. Im not going to get shit out of this....I was legit robbed....you dont believe it...thats your problem.

By the way, I like how you state that they "broke in" at about 6 am, how the **** would you know? Then, you post this shit at 6:20 AM. Funny how that happens...and the photo date is 12/07/2009.

OK!!! SO YOU ALL KNOW!! I was told by another person here in the complex that there was someone walking around my truck at 6AM in the morning and a van parked in front of my truck. I was told it was a heavy set mexican guy. I came out to my truck at 1pm later that day...to find my truck in this condition.

I DONT KNOW WHERE YOU GOT I POSTED THIS AT 620am....I wasnt even awake yet!!

About the pics of the 4x4.....the pics where taken at different times of the day....the one with the 4x4 switch IN is when I was putting the dash back together.....just cause there are pics on here....doesnt mean there in order!! I mean jesus.....I get legit robbed and all you guys can say is how I "committed" insurance fraud?!? WTF?!?

I postes this thread later that night after school...I dont get home from school until 8 or 9 at night.....except for today!! I LEFT EARLY!!

So were they in the car when the cops came or were they not?

When were the pictures taken? Before or after the cops?

The cops didnt even look at it....because I know that by the time I found out......my stuff was in another car already!

i had the same thing happen to me... except i got home at 5 A.M. my dad gets up at 6 A.M. and gets the paper and woke me up and said wat happened to your back glass? went out side and i was gone not broken just gone my 200 buck pioneer my carhart jacket my bag of tools my door speakers and then they popped my hood and took my air filter... needless to say my dads a cop, filed the report and nothin happen... so started thinkin who had been checkin my truck out in the parking lots we hung out in and i know alot of people to help me out... got some tips took the situation in my own hands ( not recommending it ) but 2 weeks later lets just say i had my stuff back and some people went to the hospital with bad scars for the rest of their life (again not recommending it) but the 2 weeks without a backglass and snow sucked

sorry to hear that man but i learned that a long time ago that having amps and customs boxes and stereos only bring trouble to you because people want what you got and they will take it from you even if they are your friends or not so having all that crap is not worth it to me anymore unless you can have it and nobody will ever know that you do have it and it can't be seen by wondering eyes...

How much of the dash did they bust up getting the stereo out? They broke enough of mine that I would not have been able to get a new one in its place. My insurance covered the cost of the window and the dash, plus installs. They however didn't cover me for the stereo and the 20 some odd CD's that were taken.

I appreciate all the apologies. Makes me feel better. They broke the 4x4 out and the two clips/screws by the ash tray were ripped out....so it went back together ok. I cleaned all the glass today and made a make shift window out of duct tape and a garbage back

Here's a question for you, why is the BLUE wire connector in the same position in the first picture as the second picture? In both pictures its pointing towards the passenger side. Vents are in the same position, HVAC controls are in the same position, yet, one pic has the 4x4 switch and one doesn't. They even took the time to nicely unplug it for you.

The rest of you may buy his story, but I sure as hell don't.

And even if he is lying what does he gain by saying "OMG i was robbed" on here? What would be the point of fabricating story? to make us feel bad for him, thats about it? so unless he is REALLY insecure about himself and it makes him feel better to be felt sorry for by dong this stuff... well then we are still helpng him out.

And to answer the question is probably caus he DIDN'T TOUCH anything else! He put the 4x4 switch back inplace and obviouly didn't feel the need to mess with the heat. the non broken/cut plugs are a little suspicious I'll give ya that.... but seriously if you just got jacked and posted it up and I was like well its really suspicious you didn't switch to defrost after you got jacked I call BS. You waould feel a bit upset too.

And he said someone else in the complex saw it not him. and he probaby took pic before the cops showed then later in the day for better pics after he had already messed with it. o and for the pics... UR A DUMB A$$! They both have the same date! The day can still be the 7th wheather its 6 am 6 pm noon whatever its still the 7th! and he probably got jacked at 6am on the 7th and then took pics later in the day (still the 7th) when he got up and hear and saw what happened. now if it was still dark out and the camera had time of day too and he had pics t 6 am I oul completely agree with you... but please grow a brain before you B*#&H someone out.
