b3000 vs ford ranger

hj i am changing my steering collum on m b 3000 jt does not havetilt steering and the donner truck ford ranger has tilt steering will it fit vor the connections are different (plugs wiring )if its not compatible ill have to find anoter truck P,S mazda is 2000 and ranger is 2002 automatic trans :yahoo:

Your Mazda 3000 is a exact match to the Ford 3.0L mechanically. The only difference is in the front grill and other cosmetic body items.

YES it will fit and work.!!!
 
If the two trucks have the same accessories they are the same. However, you will have to have the PCM reprogramed (~$150) for PATS if you do not use the old (original) key cylinder so you can use your original keys.
 
I'm not sure about the Rangers, but the F series trucks in those years only had one column for tilt vs non-tilt. The difference was the lower plastic cover and the lack or presence of the lever.

Might be worth looking into that, if it's the same as the F-series that can save you a lot of work.
 
ok thank you i have my old cylender and keys so the PATS is not a problem i will work on truck during weekend
