Two problems.
Problem One:
My son is restoring his old 1991 Mazda B2200 and am up to trying to get the A/C system going. So far found evaporator, condenser drier etc but the biggie is No success in finding a replacement a/c compressor. Tried auto parts stores (O'Reilly, NAPA, Auto Zone Advance), Rock Auto, Parts Geek, eBay, Amazon and just a plain Google search with no luck. Many sites have listings for my truck, but all are "out of stock". An example is that Four Seasons has a part number 67599 whose image looks like my old compressor but it is not available.
Any smart folks have this problem before who may have found a unit from a different vehicle which can be made to work on this truck?
Problem Two:
My old Mazda truck is a 1992 B2600i. Started on this years ago and pulled engine and sent block and head to a machine shop. Time went by, forgot about truck until recently. Machine shop is now closed. Block and Head gone. I have all the ancillaries that bolt onto the engine, but need a core engine to rebuild. Preferably, one within a reasonable distance of our shop near Greenville, SC. Actually we have a Pezer SC address but who out there ever heard of Pelzer?
I realize this is predominantly a Ford Ranger site but it does have this "MAZDA B-SERIES SPECIFIC" section so I thought I would give this a shot.
HPMotors is primarily a Mazda Miata/MX-5 shop so we like the idea of a little Mazda pickup for parts runs etc.
