got new pipes and muffler put on the B2 today (it didn't have any when I got it, we tacked something on while restoring). guy told me after he installed everything that it had a leak at the manifold on the passenger side. I couldn't tell before with what we had but now I can tell it. What should I be looking for? where it bolts up to the engine or something else? gasket? Hard to replace?

Not hard to change out the gasket, put I would suggest getting the manifold resurfaced. I had one that was warped and never would seat correctly; had it resurfaced and it worked fine.

Yeah before mine had paper gaskets and I spent $6 getting metal gaskets from Fel-pro at O'Reillys. But it def wouldn't hurt to get it resurfaced.

Thanks Everyone!

I had 4 bolts break on my exhaust manifold. so be aware. they are very small bolts and will break easy because of the heat.

When I recently tore down my old truck before wrecking it, I was able to get the passenger side manifold off, but I ended up having to cut the Y pipe to remove the other head. Somebody had stripped most of the bolts off... In fact the manifold is still attached to the head, sitting in a rubbermaid bin. I need to get me one of these...

The pipes are broke, looks like they might have done it when installing the muffler cause it's a clean shiny break. I can look above the front passenger side and see where it's broke at.:annoyed:

that, i broke 4 in one side and 2 in the other. uggghhhh, PITA :annoyed:

soak the crap out of them with some pb blaster

My brother and I managed to get it changed out. I jacked it up, removed the tire and the black plastic piece under the fender, made access to the manifold easy.
I soaked all the bolts with Kroil for days. just kept spraying everyday. I would start it up and let it run for a few minutes sometimes just to heat up and wick the kroil.

Four came off no problem, one broke so we had to drill and retap. One the head broke off but was turning so a pipe wrench and a lot of patience got it out.

Took some time. not something that was done in a few hours for sure....
