What axle will fit in a 94 ranger xlt 1/2 ton

I assume you mean rear axle, which would be any from 93 to 2010, being a 7.5 or 8.8 bolt in from a previous ranger (I would only consider the 8.8 truly a half ton axle). Be sure you get the right ratio to match the front. And since you have a 4.0 I think only 8.8's came in your truck. Check on inside of your drivers door for code and reference it in the tech library here. Welcome to TRS!

That truck doesn't exist....All rangers (midsize pickups) are 1/4 ton, including the 8.8 that was factory in rangers....The FX II model shares the same parts (except axle shaft length) as the Full size 8.8 which is a 1/2 ton axle....Now will rangers handle more than what they are rated for, absolutely!!
