axle trade question 89ranger and 93explorer

a friend of mine has a 93 explorer 4wd and is willing to trade me axles from my 89 2wd ranger. I know the ujoint is differnt and that my axle is spring over and his is spring under but I want a drop and he wants the lift. is there any way to swap them with little to no cash outlay? also could you tell me what axle ratio I currently have? my axle tag says s302a and below that says 4575 bk27. I checked the tech library and couldn't find the needed info

My guess it that it is a 3.45 7 1/2" rear. The first 3 hidden under the attachment bolt. Common problem.
