I have a 92 4wheel drive with 3.27 gears. My rear axle is worn out so I checked local junk yards today and found a 93 with a 373 L/S. Is this a bolt in match for mine or will I have to change anything? I can get both front and rear for $400. I looked in the tech section and the only difference I noticed is the 93 is 2 inches wider.:icon_confused:

Rear is 2" wider yes (front is the same). The spring pads are the same though so it should all bolt in.

Make sure the '93 infact has a D35 up front like yours, there's a "hybrid" D28/35 that has found it's way into some, but not all '93-'97 non-4.0L trucks (if it's a 4.0L, then it should have the real d35).

Info on ID'ing them here:

Yes it is a 4.0 I did check that because most the Rangers in 2 yards had smaller motors and had the wrong axle numbers, 84,85 witch I think are 7.5s. Thanks for the information, I was pretty sure it would fit but I wanted another opinion before I spent the $400.:icon_cheers:
