axle questions

I just bought a 1985 ford ranger 4x4 the previous owner had put 456 gears in the back but did nothing with the front it has a mildly built 302 in it and just wondering what i should do with the front axle should i just find somthing else to use if so what can i use or can i just re gear the original one any info would be greatly appretiated thx.

personally I would get a D35 and have it regeared to match ya rearend....

yea an older truck like that would have the dana 28 and im pretty sure that won't handle a mildly built 302. i'd go either a dana 35 or sas on it and gear it to match the back
