This is a quick and simple question. I think I already know the answer but I would like to make sure. I found someone who had 6" drop brackets from skyjacker, I have a 1991 STX Ranger and he has a 1998 ranger. I know that after 97 they switched the suspension system, would his drop brackets work with my ranger? I thought no but I may be able to get them at a good price so I wanted to know. Thanks in advance.

There is no such 6" Skyjacker lift for a '98, I'm guessing he has a '97 and is mistaken

If the brackets look like this, they'll work.

(these are not Skyjacker, but they'll look alike)

Alright thanks, but if he's mistakin the height then will they work?

no a 98 front suspension is completely different than the 97 and older ttb dana 35.

Yeah it's ok he has another truck that is a 90 which is what he's taking the bracket off. But good to know.

A '90 would be the same. A '98 is not.

here is what the skyjacker drop brackets for the beams will look like for a TTB 4x4 truck. ie 83-97 ranger 4x4's.

notice the two set's of holes for the piviot point of hte TTB ends, the upper set is for a 4 inch lift and the lower is for a 6 inch

the coils springs are what make the diffrence in the 4 vs the 6 inch kits for skyjacker.

free lenth(coils out of truck laying on ground) the coils should be 19.5 inches for the 6 inch kit.for skyjacker springs.

like said before the 98 and newer stuf will NOT work on a 97 and older ranger.

Alright thanks that helps a lot. And by the way since those radius arms aren't on your truck are you just fixing something or are you looking to sell them? Because I'm looking for skyjacker arms.

I sold the skyjacker kits many moons ago when I put the autofab stuff on my truck.

hit up dave@threat and see if he is willing to do a set of radius arms for you,if not, or his arms wont work for you. look up BTF fab.

the skyjacker arms are nice for off the shelf parts, but both dave, and btf make a much nicer beffier arm for not much more.
