Axial Wraith Build

Uhh - At this point I am not sure what you are thinking or if you are even aware of the type of power that will have.

Here is an SCX-10 with a 12-turn. If you can crawl good with that kind of power, you have a steadier throttle control and more self-control than I do.

Got my body panels mounted finally:

thanks! yea i agree on the shocks, at least out back. gotta grab a servo, another battery and a electric winch. might go friday night.

going to see what i can find for shocks, i want to keep the ride height, but have tons of droop.

going to get another 645mg hightec probably, as it worked, just got soaked.

also, need to ditch the plastic servo horn and steering link. Metal all the way.

I am looking into seeing how to run body clips to hold the hood on, so i can swap batterys quickly. im thinking the pin that hold a battery tray down on the slash 2wd.

i want to run my lights tonight, but who knows what ill get into. will post pictures if i do any upgrades.

Man, the Wraith kit is so tempting, I'll have to see if we get a Christmas bonus this year or start saving my pennies.

so im going to the hobby store in a bit.

should i run a lipo esc and lipo, or save the money and stick with my 5100 mah nickle?

also, picking up the bearings for my scx10, a Hightech 5645 digital metal servo, that does 168 in-oz, a few pinions, and like above, either a esc or new battery. might even see if they have a 4ch traxxas 2.4 so i can run my winch and turn on and off the lights.

i will update when i get back. doing tie rods on a charger tonight, so it wont be till later.

dropped the pinion down to a 18. would go to 16 but i need a bigger spur. Runs like a pro, tons of power. Also finished the body, and sticker'd it a bit. Also, grabbed a Hightech hs-5645MG digital servo and aluminum servo horn.

i do need the metal steering links, but it will work for now.

Get a new #2 screwdriver.

Tossed together a free steering link using the stock drag link and an old custom lower link.

Remove the stock setup:

swing the stock drag link to the drivers side:

measure the length to make the pass link:

shave the diff down to clear:

DONE!

Note: may only work on metal servo horns, as it uses a bit angled force that could twist and snap a plastic servo horn. It works great with a 165oz-in 5645MG digital!

total cost $0
total time 20 minutes

AAAnd you just gave yourself reverse ackerman, if I am looking at that correctly. I wanna see a pic full lock right and full lock left. I betcha the outside tire turns sharper - the tires will fight each other and you'll lose turning radius. Not that it's that big of a deal, but your rig is way too sweet for issues like that.

on the wraith the knuckles have steering stops. hit the stops before, hits them now. (plus im crawling so i dont mind if they arent exact)
