just make sure your axle housing is not busted and the beams are not bent. Other than that, you might have to replace the rotors.

Nothing will be broken. I had a wheel fall of at 30mph and nothing broke.

What's that thing laying over it? Something the wind blew?

Mjones, I've had a wheel fall off at 60, nothing happened.

I had both rear tires off of mine and it fell the jackstands. It was a machine shed with a dirt floor and a verys light grade, the dirt gave under the jackstands and let it all roll come back (dragging the wheel blocks with it). Of course our jack was wedged under it, and because it rolled the first it was no longer in the fairly level spot in the shed. We got the hi-lift the truck just wanted to keep rolling back... so we got the 4020 with a loader and picked up by the receiver to put the tires back on it and move it somewhere else. When it came down it went to the side a little and one of the poles for the building put a crease infront of my passenger side tail light.

Now I only take pickup tires off in the concrete floor garage and only one at a time. Maybe a little over cautious but if I hadn't gone in the house to get a drink...

It was parked in the stall that would be open if you took the two orange tractors (and the tires and misc junk) out. You can see the drop off we were dealing with the hi-lift and the receiver.

Thats because that's as stupid as stupid gets. Someone needs to find you pics and accounts of what has happened to guys when their vehicle finally DOES fall on them.

Storm.

That screen house canopy thing only weighs about 30 lbs.

The jack stands were fine.

I think that what happened was this: I had two bottle jacks under each beam to lift them a little. This took some weight off of the jack stands. A strong storm rolled in and the wind blew it over. Some contributing factors may have been soft/uneven ground under the plywood that the jackstands were on.

You can see here how the stand actually pushed through the plywood in one corner. That is the only thing that I could find.

That picture shows how much weight was still on the jack stands.


IDK what happened but Its all good now. I am keeping it on 3 wheels when possible.
