AWD to Electic 1356

Just finishing up the 5.0L swap in my 98 Ranger. I want to ditch the AWD transfer case. The truck had the Electric 1354. I left all the wiring in the truck for the 4x4 selector. I know mechanical shift transfer cases are the best, but I just want to know if a Electric 1356 will fit and plug right in. What else is involved with this swap?
