So I've been searching kits online and around town and my local shop want 700 to install a body lift. is this the normal install price?

If you and a buddy can tie your shoes, you can install a body lift. I would never pay that much to install a kit that costs no more than $200 to purchase.

Does tieing it bunny ears style count? I dont know how to do the loop, swoop, and pull method. And I am serious about that.

well if you want to spend the $700 here we go. $150-200 for body lift, another $300 for a stripper pole and stripper for the night. , $150 beer and liquer. and $50 misc. like good braker bar, pb blaster and chips/dip. you should be able to finish it in a night. the first 2hrs of the night have your buddy come over put the body lift in, and spend the rest of the night in the garage with the door closed and strippers dancing. O ya take plenty of pics. we might need them for the tech lib. for proper install of body lift section.

NO! I forgot how, my shoes are knotted at the ends, and I mostly where pull-on style boots. :headbang: But I can still install a body lift.

yea see thanks. I knew this guy was being a total D**K.

the first time I went there I order coils (superlift) 180 and shocks (Rancho) 160 he later called and said they didnt have that brand so he was going to send me skyjackers and superlift shocks.ok fine.

so I went back and ordered shackles Belltech 6400 he said 70 bucks. I showed up and he had Ground Controls for me and I asked what happend to the BT 6400 and he said oh well those would of cost you 120.00 WTF! ashhole.

ok well I tried to give my local shop business but now I'm just going to stick to online ordering.

You should be happy he got you Skyjackers, they are better. But $120 is ridiculous for Belltechs. If you're having work done, buy the parts yourself then take them somewhere (if they will let you).

if its in the rust belt pay the 700 if not just do it yourself takes a jack and a block of wood and common tools and some pb blaster at most.

well, I have been buying parts online for years now and I figured what the hell, i'll spend an extra few bucks to give a local shop some business. but that is the last time. I'll be ordering and doing everything myself from now on. :headbang:

Puttin on a Body Lift isnt hard at all. Just make sure you have WD40 or the like to break lose the bolts and it might not be a bad idea to have a handheld propane torch for the really tough bolts.

Well hell, you could make the lift yourself out of some pipe and washers. Depending on the height you will still need brake line/steering/etc extensions that may or may not come with the kit. You should look into that, it would suck to get the lift put in and not be able to drive it because of something being too short.

wow! i paid 87.00 for my 3" body lift, spent 8 hours: 7 figuring how to open and consume beer, then one to put the body lift on!

shit i'll do it for 700.00 and take you to the massage parlor included, (can we say happy endinbg to a long day?)
