I'll have you know I have 21 teeth!

Wait... 23... I just counted.

Shocking conversation.

I miss horn buttons on the steering wheel, just keep the center of the wheel a damn air bag and horn buttons on the side, went to go press the horn buttons on my 98 ranger the other day and said to myself, "the hell? Are you reincarnated or forgot your horn is one main unit!?!?"

It could be worse, the early first gens had the horn on the signal stalk.

That would drive me nuts...

That would most certainly suck, go to put your turn signal on, accidentally honk your horn and scare the shit out of an old lady and cause her to crash?I just could definitely see some negatives

I dont use a horn. I keep a bag of D-cell batteries on the dashboard to chuck at people. Much more effective than a horn.

I think the Escort also had the horn on the turn signal stalk from '81 to '83(ish). I suspect that all Fords in the early 80's did, but I don't know for sure.

Around ‘85/6 Rangers had the horn moved to the steering wheel.

My '85 had it where it belongs (center of the steering wheel).

Mine does too but someone put the newer steering wheel on it so I wasn’t sure how correct everything was.

When I was a wee lad my dad had this old car (cant remember what it was) that had the horn built into the engine. You pulled this knob like a choke and it opened a valve on the intake that made a horrible horrible sound like a cat being sodomized by a penguin.

I know it was at least to 83... My moms ‘83 Escort had the horn on the blinker stalk.
