wtdw (what to do with )

I've been a looking! can't see to find the actual answers I'm seeking.

On my auto to manual swap, Just pull the pin from the lever and do what? remove the cable, got that. jump or cut wires? which ones? (93 4.0 long bed auto)

We have a steering wheel puller and I plan to pull the dash when we do the pedal and clutch hydraulics

Advance thanks!

There shouldn't be any wiring changes that need made under the dash.

There will be a little plug near where the clutch switch will mount that has a jumper plug in it. Remove that and plug the clutch switch in there. Under the truck you will need to complete the P/N start circuit, and hook up the reverse lights.

Got that part asm, but in the column? Leave it in p or n after removing the lever?

Neither. Both. Doesn't matter. There is nothing in the column that tells the computer where the trans is. The little needle is hooked to the shifter but a piece of nylon string that is just heavy gauge fishing line. The only thing you need to worry about with that is making sure the circuit is closed down at the plug for the trans range sensor, under the truck.

OK now... I understand! Thank you:c-n::buttkick:

Since you're going to have the dash and column area apart anyway, consider liberating a manual column when you are getting the pedals, clutch master etc (presume from a boneyard or donor truck)

Have the pedals, thought about the column change but feel it's not all that necessary just to hide a lever slot and blank out the shift indicator.

I changed a 94 a few years back without taking out the dash.It was a pain but I thought it was easier than taking out the dash.If you think it's easier to pull it's all good but it's doable either way.

experience leads me to take the dash out. and do a few other things. Like loose the abs light. reroute the mike for the bluetooth,
