Hey guys, ive been filing through the forums for a while now and im still a little lost as to what transmission i will need for my little project here.
I have a 1993 Ranger splash, single cab, 4x4 with automatic and electronic switched transfer case. Now my transmission is starting to get pretty clunky and slips gears a bit here and there, so ive been considering swapping the truck over to manual.
However, im really not sure what transmissions out of what fords will work in this thing? I have the 4.0l v6, so i know a 93 4.0 exploder will work, but i was wondering what other years and models had a transmission that will work for me?
I'm also curious as to wether the transmission has a harness for it, for reverse lights and such, or if i just have to start modifying whats already there to make the manual work?
Any input is appreciated! thanks guys
Andy
