i just got home with new wheeler 94 b4000 4.0 5spd with auto hubs-truck is lifted with 32-11.50's . how weak are auto hubs, how often do they fail and is it -get towed home or can you usally limp home?actually going DOWN to 265/75r16 (31.6-10.5) tomorrow.

they fail quite often. just swap to manuals now. Mine blew up going home. all mine did was grind really bad so i drove like 5-10 mph for 4 miles.

Mine went about 16 years and 159k miles before they started giving me trouble, although my truck is totally stock with 235/75r15 tires, and I only use 4wd a handful of times per year when driving in the snow.
