Atx's 94" xcab build

Well it's been pretty busy at work lately so not much time to tidy up my harness on the driver side yet . But was able to get the expo rear sway bar mounted to the frame and not flopping around anymore . I can say it does help quite a bit actually going around corners then Before they were attached . There was already one hole on the passenger side that lined up ,then using the expo trans crossmember spacers from the donor and long bolts with locking nuts laying around the shop I bolted that side up first and marked the driver side with a punch through the endlink . Endlink may not be straight up and down , but the bar sets level . May go back later and scour the jy for some short links.

Also got a couple board to fill the gaps and trim out a lil more in the wheel cut outs since I was rubbing a lil on tilts .

Still need to order my damn led tails .
Touched up my front bumper that's painted with Bed liner in a can . I love using this stuff , the texture that comes out is still smooth for the most part with a light texture like really fine grit sand paper ..

And since I was in the front area I cleaned the bay a lil more of the grime I didn't get on the intake mans and such . Also routed a flex house from my passenger fog opening up to the intake box . In the pic it's attached to the box . I think I'm going to remove the snorkel piece that only like two inches wide and swap with a mad adapter I have laying around that's 3" like the flex pipe . Added a lil plastic scoop I had laying around and there you go . Bootleg ram air lol . Does it work . Who knows . But I wanna feel like it might lol and for free what the hell .

Well dropped the valve body yesterday and my builder drilled out 1st bigger and few other mods to shift a lil firmer . May bring down one more time next week just cause he ain't happy. I'm cool but he feels it could hit a lil harder . I call him the mad hatter . Big thing I got done today ,And that was heat again . It's be raining here and defrost hasn't been a option. Well it took some thinking since I stuffed the ecu were the evaporator core use to set and air flows that way from the blower . Its hard to explain without pics but It works for now . I'll get pics when I finish Version 2 of this project . In a few weeks before it gets actually cold here in central Texas .

Modded blower box

Hey bud, for the blower motor, did u just make it a clean round shape and wrap it? I've been thinking of how I'm going to clean mine up. Are the heater core hoses run to the w/p?

Well I'm going to redo the setup here soon . But for now it works . Just kinda doesn't blow through the vent hard . But does keep the window defogged and warm inside now . When the blower is off there's the round hole . When looking in side the hole there's plastic wall on the side that looks like it could separate it doesn't . The heater core is right on the side of that . I melted a square hole with out hitting the core on the other side . Once that was cut out I just bolts the blower section back up that I cut off from the evaporator core section . Made a block off plate for the hole now on the side . What I'm going to do now though is remove that block off that on the blower box and make a adapter for a 3" vent hose attached to it . From there I'm going to drill a 3" hole in front of the core on the bulkhead/firewall and route said vent tube into that whole . I don't really see me having ac in it anymore . And the reason I'm puttin the effort into this custom box . I like were my ecu is ( evaporator core location . I'm going to big to finish that mounting box for that also . I want a real clean , clutter free bay . Which means I need to finish the wiring also .

Well my day consisted of doing house/yard work , and light tear down of this 88 vert Stang I'm getting running for a customer on the side . He dropped it off last night on a trailer . And me and my kids towed it up from the street to my inclined driveway . Second time I've pulled something already lol . The first time was last week I pullied a quad cab Duelly f-350 around the back of the shop .

Tow chain attached , pullied into my garage to get it as close as I could

And my hoses run to the back side of the motor under the the throttle body 90 area . Course this is cause it stock expo plumbing . Yours will probably come of the w/p & intake since your carbed I believe . I actually gotta figure that out on this mustang . I'm installing a w/p and low pressure external fuel pump on this carbed 5.0 .

Well swapped out spark plugs which looked stock lol . Used NGk tr55gp 3403 . Night and day difference , plus I had #'s 3 & 4 plug wires crossed lol

Well wanting a lil more from my heater system . I decided during lunch to start part 2 of the blower/heater mods . I removed the block off plate that I made to cover the blower motor case hole from separating it from the evaporator section . Well I had a mad adapter laying around from my rx7 when it was non turbo and used that to attach a 90 degree intake coupler . I guess the pics will speak for them selfs . I'm going to fiberglass the adapter to the box . But as of now . It blows really good through all vents . Defroster was my biggest thing . I'm going to replace the blue coupler with a black one so it looks kinda stock lol. I had to cut down a drill bit so it wasn't so long and accidentally stab the heater core. And used a 3" hole saw

Real nice work on that upgrade/fix atx! Not guna lie....I'm stealing that one from ya [emoji106] [emoji482]

Thanks brotha [emoji846]. I try to help and pass whatever info I can to help the next person along . It sucks when you gotta just wing it and hope it works lol , but when it does , it's nice [emoji482]. The heater core sets back from the bulkhead about 3-4 inches , so as alongas the drill bit doesn't hit the core your good . I took the access panel inside off to see the core Before I did anything . The cover is held on by 4 screw/bolts . Once through the metal on the bulkhead You'll see the plasticcore box . Just be careful at the point and keep going with the hole . I forgot to take a pic looking at the core with the holes made from the engine bay . But if people are doing this and this far along you know the idea behind it all . The foil protector to the left of the coupler from the box is where the ecu is . Just took the foil of the evap core and reused it to block heT from the header around the ecu harness plug .

Not going to lie....your garage is pretty sweet man. How's that stang coming along? Any updates on ranger?

Just need to find a crank pulley smaller then the 6 1/2 on it now since the water pump and crank are touching but must work with mustang setup . The reason why that last pump failed . Trying to find a smaller crank and keep the bigger water pump pulley it has now

The ranger is running great and putting mileage on it quick . Need to get the tach Recalibrated still .

My ss not so much . My wife got tboned by a teenager running a stop sign two days ago . Taking it to the body shop today . And picking up a rental . The teenager was cited so all should be good .
