i have eyes out at the local wreckers for replacement parts, what other models did these consoles come on, and how hard are they to replace, also, because my interior is the fx4 LII model, it's black, and i doubt that i'm going to be able to find a replacement black one, can i change just the broken piece of mine with the replacement part?

I would think you can just unscrew that black plastic part and swap it.
