Armadillon's FW Ranger D44/Ford 9"

Hey Phil,

I'm coming to Austin today for a bit. Do you want to borrow my MIG? Use it to your heart's content! It's a 220V 30A .030 wire (no gas though). I'll get it from you next time I'm in town.

I'll be in south Austin in the Saturday morning, and meet up with those friends near Parmer. Give me a call in the morning when you get this, if I don't call you first. The plans were only made a couple days ago. Still missing out on ACL though. :dunno:

Peter

And as promised, some pics. I went to the Austin City Limits music festival here in Austin so sorry for the delay. A few of my hilarious poser shots with the dumb small tires.

I thought you might enjoy that. Oh and brink, my brother has been on Pirate since '08 and was telling me about some guy that had a ridiculously flexy TTB setup "done properly" . He showed me a picture of it held up by a cherry picker for droop and I said "Yeah I've seen that already, that's brink's truck."

But you ain't got shit on my 29's. :thefinger:

Awsome! That's funny w/ your brother. I'm glad people see the + of a flexy ttb.

Oh, didn't see it was the festival. Rad though, and no I did not go......thats a few hours away lol

It's not just one band, but multiple bands on multiple stages throughout the day. The most notable/known performance was Red Hot Chili Peppers on Sunday night though.

You went Sunday, right?

Yup! I saw The Lumineers (for a moment because the stage was placed right where everyone traveling south would walk through the main audience area and that would combine with everyone walking north to see another stage. Notable artists were Iggy Pop (TERRIBLE. Utter dogshit in concert), Two Door Cinema Club, NeedToBreathe put on a damn good show, and Red Hot Chili Peppers were amazing in concert. I was surprised, I thought they would stay towards their new stuff. They played all the popular classics (Snow/Hey Oh, Dani California, Other Side, Californication, Under the Bridge, Soulsqueeze, and Under the Marquee [although I swear that one has another official name like "By the Way"]) There were some other bands that were pretty good but I didn't know them by name.

Got a horrible sunburn and pretty much got hotboxed by the crowd when RHCP went on stage. Laserlights would flash through the crowd and you could see a hundred little puffs rising up and drifting around. I'm personally not into that stuff but it was actually quite fascinating.

Oh, and the entry for me and my girl was free :) She had two hungover friends that gave up their wristbands. I could understand not going the third day, after one day I was pretty exhausted.

Oh, and a quick update. I forgot how quickly 7018 rods can go bad once opened. Had no idea. I tried baking them for a couple of hours at 500 and then vacuum sealed them with my FoodSaver ;) Hopefully they'll work better later.

Didn't realize how cheap a trackbar/panhard bracket from RuffStuff is, so I ordered one.

Dang, I'm jealous

Another quick update: A flood of random things has occurred. I learned about the game of rugby. Learning turned into watching, watching turned into obsession. TRS was starting to load so slowly on my home computer and my one at work that I just started to shy away from the site. So I would just watch a lot of rugby instead.

Also, my brother in law gave me his Halo 3 Xbox360 that had a red ring of death. Which I decided to fix. I've been playing a lot of that. Our cat chewed through my cat 5 cable so no Xbox Live though. =(

Anyway, I'm still alive and I'm hoping to get quite a bit done in the next month or two.

Dude, I was over in your sticks last weekend. Saw the new F-1 Circuit of the Americas track with several friends. The noise of 2.4L V8 at 18,000 RPM is crazy in person!

I didn't know you COULD fix the Ring of Death. I guess I was wrong.

Saw my first rugby game about 2 years ago. It was interesting, and still confusing. I also saw a butch woman with cauliflower ear, and that shit is gross. Have fun, and try not to take too many shots to the face. Ha, I've already given your mom enough shots to the face, already! :icon_rofl:

:icon_surprised: Oooo burn... :stirthepot:

Rugby is freaking awesome. :headbang: I practiced with a team a few years ago, never played in an actual game though, got in an accident on my motorcycle and tore up my shoulder.

Yeah, pretty wild. I was able to hear the loudspeakers and music all the way over here. RROD is definitely fixable but it always comes back, I have like 3 cooling fans installed to the box and it works sufficiently for me.

Freakin' pumped that others here watch rugby, the shit is amazing. My gf and I are heading over to New Zealand in April and we have plans on seeing a game live. VERY excited about it.

It's also a little unkind to make fun of your mother's cauliflower ear, I tend to manhandle her a bit since she likes it rough. BAAZING!! :thefinger:

That sucks dane, or does it? Doesn't take long to destroy a body in rugby, maybe the shoulder injury saved you from dying in a match ;)
