i need to drop 2 inches on the read, shackles are stock and axle is under the spring, it looks like flipping the shackle will drop about 4",, any feedback on that

Flipping the shackles only will be 2". A Axle flip kit only will be 4"

Haven't done it my self, and now that I'll be swapping int he Explorer axle spring under I won't (if anything I'll be installing a lift shackle), but every one I've heard from has had about the same results. With the stock shackle it nets about a 1.5-2" drop. I understand why you would think it'd drop so much more. But it doesn't cause you aren't just flipping the shackle but also it's hangar.

it worked

I did get the shackles flipped, the shackles turned out to be bell techs, it looks like the resting point for the end of the leaf spring moved about 4 inches, but the drop was 2 inches, thanks for the advice. I'll post the pics when i can get back into the galleries again,

Keith
