And now I have to pull 300dollars out of my butt to replace the damn thing

I hope the cameras caught them, those bitches can pay for my tire.

LOL, someone is definitely pissed off at you.

I've never owned anything newer than '93 and just get used tires for $25 a piece balanced and mounted. Plus I am helping the enviornment, but I guess it evens out since I drive pieces of shit (except my Ranger). Slash mine? Oh well.

I don't know what to tell you honestly, at least it wasn't all 4?

Sorry for my language... but I really don't like people messing with my truck. It's all I got.

Well we are going to ride on the spare to the shop (that should be intresting). The insurance said they would cover it (amazing!!).
I can't wait to find out who did it

Hopefully your insurance doesn't go up because of it though, it may have been cheaper in the long run to just pay for it out of pocket.

I hate it when people take out their aggressions on someone else property, aside from showing that they are a coward it really doesn't prove anything.


I got a nice slice in the sidewall of my tire when I was mudding with my F-150, the place I got them from covered it under warrentee. I had to pay for the wear, but for $40 I walked out with a brand new tire mounted and balanced.

Good point Ranger4x4. I will be asking the shop about the warranty since the tires are not that old.
I don't think the insurance I am with would raise their prices... but you never know.

While they could raise rates, it's kinda unusual to do so for a comprehensive claim. A collision, sure.

I got off with no raise after a deer hit, because they ruled it comprehensive (it turns out the deer was unlicensed and uninsured....). Trust me, that was a LOT more expensive than $300.

However, the loss may be less than your deductible.

I have heard some people say theirs has gone up because of vanalism/breakins and things like that, because ins will think you live in a rough neighborhood or whatever. It probably takes a couple times, but I would save them for something worse than a tire if I could help it.

I have heard the same about deer, a couple they don't have a problem with, but after awhile they are not quite so eager to hand over checks. They start assuming you commute thru a heavily deer infested neighborhood (more risk) or enjoy running deer down for insurance money.

you cant see to catch a break...i hope they catch them. my school had camras but beacuse it was costing money they unhooked them. so i came out of class and went to work, someone screwed with my timeing,air/fuel mixture, and they put a little cut in my fuel line causeing it to burst all over the motor under pressure. i couldve been killed and my school wouldnt hook the camras back up. make shure to file a report with your school. (all that is when i was driveing that pos k5 blazer)

Vandalism is a comp. claim, not a collision claim and will not affect your rates. If any flying object hits your vehicle it is also a comp claim, same as if you hit any type of animal. None of these will affect your rates. Still sucks though. Sorry to hear about it.

That sucks. Can't stand people who do that, especially at school. Friend of mine had a brand new Ford Escape in highschool (had a rich daddy). Real nice deep blue color. Well someone keyed the crap out of it in the middle of the day. The school had 2 cameras pointing to a parking lot with over 500 cars. The security footage luckily caught it but the quality was so poor they couldn't identify who did it. Some people are just assholes and need taken out back and shot.

Well we got the spare on, after the truck decieded to go over the peices of wood and make the jack slice down my tailgate and **** up my paint and leave ANOTHER nice dent. I took it to the shop, they said the insurance didn't cover it and that it was a cut, someone did it to my tire.

The school has not heard the last from me... I am going to the office to complain and demand they look at the cameras and check where the girl (that I am damn sure did it) was at and everyone who walked into the parking lot should be questioned. I love my truck, its all I got, and I'm not going to let whoever did this get away with a clean plate. Tomorrow I am parking it RIGHT next to the secret camera that the security guard told me about and they said they would watch over the truck for me.
All this stress made me cry

This has been a WONDERFUL 2 weeks for my truck. Oh and now it's starting to squeel and squeek horribly... could anything else go wrong? Really?
