i have a 97 ford ranger and i want to get bigger tires. these ate 31x 10.5 can any one tell me if they will rub at full lock ????

yes they diffinatly will, they do on mine and they dont even look that big.. if its 4x4 i dont no about 2wd,, but 4x4 will definatly fit, dont even hesitate

I have a 2wd with a 2'' leveling kit with 31s on 15'' Alcoas and they rub on the sway bar at full lock.

All ofyou guys should only have mild rubbing right? Meaning if you hold the wheel just a hair shy of full lock you should be fine. If your tires are rubbing on the sway bar then you should not have any damage. Just an irritating noise.

yes it is a 2wd and i put them on and turned to full lock and i have 3/4 of a gap from the tire to the plastic wheel well

I did a TT and Shacle lift on my Ex (95) and was running Buckshot Mudders and didnt have any issues, the guy I just bought my Ex from had 31s on it a while back and said that they didnt rub at all, only reasen he got rid of them was because of gas mileage. I plan on getting some more 31s for it this summer. Something to keep in mind though, just because it says its a 31 inch tire doesnt meen its 31 inches, they can very. You may have a 31 and it might actually be 30 inches tall or 32 inches tall. The Ranger doesnt have any kind of a lift on it either...............yet any ways :D Just some food for thought. You could also look into getting some Coil spacers for the front and lift shackles or lift blocks for the back and get about 1.5 to 2 inches more lift and shouldnt be much more than 100 bucks if that. Thats what im planning on doing to my ranger (94 but still uses TTB) to just get a lil more clearence.

Just some food for thought.

a 31'' tire should take a 15'' rim.

exactly. I dont run into rubbing issues very often at all and it just makes a noise. no damage or anything like that.

ok thank you do you know of any good places i could get rims that dont cost to much

dixie_boysles is selling his Alcoa rims. If you find a set of them they can be somewhat expensive but they are great wheels. I love mine. You could get some steel wheels though for probably 70 bucks a piece or so.
