Another issue, please help!

So I was driving around today and my accelerator pedal was acting weird. I'll try to explain the problem as best as I can, here goes. The pedal will be hard as a brick and it won't depress much. It then kicks back to normal and it flares in RPM because of the pedal being fully depressed when it was like a brick. What could be the cause of this?

Any help is much appreciated,
Thanks

Could either have something to do with kick down cable (if you have an auto) or the actual throttle cable. The first thing you might inspect is the connection to the throttle body under the black shield and see if your issue is there (move the throttle to WOT by hand). If not, carefully pull the clip from the cable off the TB and work your way from there until you find where it's binding up.. I am afraid you're going to have to use process of elimination on this one..

Thanks for the reply Pete, appreciate it. I was thinking the same thing, well I guess I will try to find the bind in the morning, sucks that this is my D/D.
