hey guys ive been looking to an alternative to the extreme drop arm from skyjacker and saw this superlift drop am on summit that says 4-9in or lift..anyone know if they will work i have ruffly 6" or lift maybe a little more..also it says manual steering? but says up to a 97' ranger will this work on my 88' with power steering? thanks. heres the link. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLF-1108/

I suspect that's a typo (beyond the fact none of them are properly labeled to begin with anyway).
The spline is also different on a manual vs power steering gear.

Why are you trying to avoid getting the correct part?

Probably cuz the SJ price tag is $200+ even though thats a steal compared to purchasing new tires....

For $68 your not gettin' a whole lot of pitman arm thats for sure....I suspect its a typo like you said Junkie and its for a typical 4" lift.
