Anyone think they Could do this Hill?

lockers and sand tires

+1. What I was thinking too.

I have tried a hill similar to that on my dualsport motorcycle. Had to redline the engine and take the approach at a good speed. Almost made it, till it started to bury the tire in the loose dirt and then stalled. I fell off and rolled down the hill, while the KLX was stuck 3 feet from the crest.

When I see sand like that...the Bronco stays at home and I pull out the Banshee or turbo Suby sand rail. That hill looks like typical Glamis or Dumont hill climb to me!
I should load up my trailer with the sand toys and give it a shot!

I have been up steeper hills in my 76 Bronco and my Jeeps and my old 83 Ranger. What is so hard about that hill? Just because it has sand?. I drove all over Moab in my Ranger and my Jeeps back in the 80's when I lived out west. Went to all the great spots in Colorado, Utah, Arizona. I loved doing it. Never broke a thing...ever!!!!!
Wish I had the time to take my 06 Wrangler out to Moab this year or next. The best place in the world!!!!!! Straight up trails to Heaven!!!!

Your friend needs to learn to down shift. Needs the right tires for the application as well. Sand is tough, it takes power, tires, and driving experience. 4lo would be a better option. Hit it in 4th, and down shift as needed.

not enough info gleenable from the pic/vids for me to guess.

in my 42 in tire configuration aired down to 8 psi i think the 6.5 in low might muster it. tough to say:dunno:

if I were closer I would try it in this

i would not bet against that.

i would bet on how long it takes , and how much air it gets over the top.
