i have a 97 ranger throwing a code for a missfire in cylinder 2 and 4. It is also throwing bank is too lean in 1 and 2. Its also throwing p1143- air assist control range valve.

cant the o2 sensors be going off because of the missfires.

anyone have any ideas on what this could be or how to check/fix the problem.

Sounds like you have a lack of fuel problem. Has it had the fuel filter replaced, fuel pressure tested? Could also be a vacuum leak.
I don't memorize codes, Is the last one MAF? A MAF sensor could cause all the same problems.

If the coil was bad wouldn't more then one be missfiring on the same side. There's no cracks and idk I'd that's a maf code or not. I'm going to check the spark plugs in 2 and 4 tomorrow.. Idk hope itssomething simple and not my truck badly messed up.

sound like it could be a bad idle control valve... has it been idling low or different than usual

Idk I just bought the truck for 900 bucks off some old guy it needed a rear and I got one for it. It has ten different codes
P0708
P0743
P0750
P0755
P0760
P1143
P0302
P0304
