Man, I love them. You can find some sweet deals there. My friends and I will go get a slurpee from 7-11, then cruise over to our local Value Village, and check out there new stuff. Yesterday, I bought this one jacket that has the American Postal Workers Union on the right side, and the name Harry stitched into the left side. It's in really good shape, and I only paid $3 for it! I just love that store. I almost bought this one that had the name Earl stitched into it, and on the back it had this amazing logo of some old restaurant..but unfortunately it was tine bit too small.

But some of the stuff in there is so weird...I always wonder where people found some of the pieces of clothing ORIGINALLY. Goofy stuff.

I'm just curious to see if there are any other thrifters out there.

Hell yea, I love thrifting, I only buy shirts and the occasional jacket or sweater. I know people that go to the thrift store for under wear...thats gross.

90% of all my clothes came from there i can't see paying top dollar for something at walmart then getting rooftar or something else on a $20 shirt

I only go to thrift stores for computer stuff. Lately there has been nothing good so I am probably going to give up on it. Anything decent sells for WAY more than it's worth...for example $300 for a dirty old Celeron machine with 128MB of RAM and a 10GB hard drive at the Salvation Army. And people buy this stuff, like by the cartfulls. I can't believe it.

I always find nice jackets, lucky and buckle jeans...Its awesome.

Prettymuch all my clothes come from thrift stores except shoes, since they rarely have any 13s or 14s that aren't old man shoes.

My last ex got me a pair of leopard print silk boxers at GoodWill. I washed em before I wore em, and don't have any STD's yet, so I'm probably alright.

Hey, that's my jacket~! Harry is my middle name and I lost that at a party...lol!

I shop for some stuff at thrift stores...mostly appliances or computer stuff since the clothes tend to be too small...it helps keep them in business so they can help people...so it's a good idea, even if you do find bargains or can afford to pay the higher sticker prices...

I usually donate old clothes to these places when I buy replacements...I hate the thought of throwing out something that is still useable...like the time I bought a whack of new socks and underwear...only to find out the underwear was too small and the socks were not to my liking...

i buy a lot of tshirts at thrift stores, sometimes jeans/corduroys if i find some decent looking ones.

sometimes you can find some neat stuff. once i bought a pair of old (advent?) home stereo speakers for like $20. turns out they are a desireable antique hi-fi item (thank you, interweb!) so i sold them on ebay for about $150.

I cruise the thrift and second hand clothing stores mainly looking for old military items. Occasionaly some good vintage stuff turns up, like old fatigues, uniforms and jackets which were donated from estates. Otherwise, it's the best places to buy working clothes.

Love'em. So much fun. People at school always ask where the heck I got a bowling shirt with a picture of jesus on it.

Since my Mother-N-Law owns a thrift store I get just about all the kids cloths there. We take the stuff they out grew and trade it for stuff that fits.
I have got several 3 piece suites for $3.00 each.

I have actually found some nice Docker's suits there, and I actually scored a Boss suit at one of them (and it fits good, too!). All for $6 each...

yes goodwill rocks. found a brand new pair of old navy jeans tags still attached for 5 bucks.

Vanessa and I got nice winter coats at a thrift store last winter. I even got my sun a nice heavy 'Steelers' jacket there.

Lately, Steve and Barry's has been closing and we went in and bought a bunch of shirts. They had jackets on sale for $4.00. I got (2) for me and (1) for my son. Mine is white with a great big US flag and eagle on the back.
