has anyone done the knuckle swap to 44 and how road worthy is it?? why whould it not be legal since you want an trail rig stronger than street???and most people install there lifts anyways???

I don't understand why it would be illegal! I've been running mine all summer and have put alot of miles on it and have had no real issues other than a slight wander issue.

i really want to, but this is the wrong time of year for me to be shopping for myself. but i have been keeping an eye out for run-down trucks in people's yards i may be able to snag for cheap.

who said it isn't legal?

Holy jackstands Batman!

I don't fawk around when it comes to working under my truck. Only bad thing is I don't have a floor jack that is capable of lifting the truck to the highest setting. They will extend to a max of 38" should I please. I had them custom made and well worth the $200 I spent. I was sick and tired of stacking wooden blocks.

I use jackstands similar to yours CopyKat. Except mine are supposed to be for boats, they were laying around at work and had been written off, into my truck they went.

Well those are awesome stands. I have a set of fairly large 6 ton stands, but they're still not tall enough.

EDIT: It's funny because you have some super beefy stands, but then there's a tiny 1.5 ton jack in the pic.

35/44 hybrid

Ran my 94 as a hybrid for about 6 months till it was stolen, loved it, had way better stopping with 35's and pulling a trailer.

I should have cut these ones but you live and learn. Next set will be cut and turned.
Huh? What happened?

Edit, I forgot, I guess you're getting into the "prerunner" thing now?
