in two weeks when i turn 18 im getting on in honor of my dad. it going to say in german " Guide me through life, Father." and its going to circled around a blue and black nautical star on my upper right arm. ive wanted this for the past year now and will finally be old enough to get it

well, I have a few tattoo's. Only one name though, my daughter. I wish I put it somewhere else then the side of my neck. It can be covered up by a collared shirt though, so it's not that bad. I'd never get a significant others name tattoo'd on me anywhere. Just won't happen.

I'd never get a girls name tattooed on me. I'm ink free and will probably stay that way. The only ones I've ever thought about were the Blue Oval and the old Power Stroke logo from the early/mid 90s.

You should just have someone here with some good fab skills make her a custom branding iron for you...it'll be a lot more symbolic

Kidding aside...

I agree with the people saying get a picture instead...people with ink of just words tend to look stupid. (Mr. Ice is a prime example) The only exceptions is words with a picture...for instance dog tags with your buddy's name...etc.

I went into BMTS 2 months after we got married, the last weekend of school we got a town pass.............I went to a tattoo shop and had 2 hearts one behind the other with a band across them with Amy & Tim, above the hearts it says True Love to, and a rose at each end..........my Dad asked me when he saw it the first time, what was I gonna do if somethin happened between us and we seperated.....I told him I'd just have to find another Amy!

That was 31+yrs ago and I've PROUDLY showed it all the years. I've got a pic somewheres in my military stuff, I'll have to dig it out & scan it.

i got a bunch of tats. one tat i got was a nautical star on my arm, my wife(at the time) got the same exact one and after we split i hated lookin at it cuz it reminded me of her, so i covered it up with a quarter sleeve(biomechanical) it looks sweet, gears and exhaust pipes and hinges and stuff rippin out of my skin. eventually im gonna color in some metal and rust colors. im glad i covered that gay star with something awesome. thats just one tat story of mine. ill have plenty more as the years go on im sure. i guess you can say im hooked on ink.<---haha thats a funny smiley face

the only tats i was thinking of getting were this sick logo i saw on a hoodie , its a flaming shamrock with a banner that says irish pride ( irish on both sides of the family ) may get it on the left forearm , and on my right bicep i may get a maltese cross , with crossed axes , one with an irish flag in the head , and the other with a confederate , and my fire dept. name in flame letters above , and my number in flames below
