My wifes online name is Medusa, I got this in her honor. If anything ever happens between us, I can just say I'm a fan of the movie "Clash of the Titans" LOL. BTW, the head in the helmet at the bottom right is a self portrait of the guy who did it LOL. Kind of freaky, but cool all the same.

I've got a pinup girl on my left forearm(i'll post pics when I can get someone to take one.), going to be getting a second pinup on my right forearm, and the next one I'm getting is a memorial tattoo on my left shoulder blade of my daughter's, and maybe my grandparents names.

I wouldn't get one of someone's name, not because of divorce rates. You have to feel as if your going to be with your woman forever. You can't feel as if you have any reservations. I was recently married and would never get her name tattooed on me. The reason is that they are just plain tacky. I've never met anybody who's had a tattoo and in 20 years said they are glad they had it. It's with you forever. I wouldn't hang a piece of art on my wall forever why would you put some on your body. Tastes change but ink is permanent. My dad has a tattoo he got years ago and at this point I have no idea what it is supposed to be anymore.
Just my thoughts.

I agree with every word of that.

I came to the conclusion a few years ago that tattoos are so mainstream now that I would be "different" by not getting one. I'll pass.

There was a thread a while back where I said the exact same thing. Even if I did want one - which I don't, I wouldn't get one for that very reason.

No offense to anyone who has them, I've seen some pretty cool ones, but it's not for me. Personally, I'm more interested in a fit physique than putting drawings on it.

edit - and it's not just the danger of having that name be something bad later. finding someone who does a really good script is more difficult than it seems like it would be

My ex girlfriends brother got his 2 year old sons name on his forarm. The woman who did it is an old wrinkly ink covered chain smoker, but man she's good at doing script. It came out looking quite sharp in a blue/black two tone.

The nip and under the arm was freaking pain. three 3 hour settings, I told him they needed to send him to Gitmo, the hell with water boarding, he's a carve a "F'r" up kind of guy LOL.

That was two years ago, I'm ready for the next one LOL.

3 hours in a chair getting carved on will put one in shock. Just passing that info along.

yea i use to hang out at a tattoo shop almost every day before i move just to help take calls and schedule appoinments and ive seen many people pass out and the toughest guys cringe getting a tattoo the ribcage was the hardest for me... most of the passing out was cause either by people not eating before they come or idiots decide to get messed up on drugs before they come... i guess they think they wont feel anything but in the end the ammonia comes out and their revived and sick

I've always wondered about that. People get Chinese lettering tatooed on their body's and they don't even know how to read it. It could be saying something you don't want it to say.

I was wondering if someone was going to post up anything like this. I want to get the firefighters maltese cross done in my arm after i have been on with a department for awhile. Wanted to just get a tattoo of one but decided they were too common.

I do not have my wifes name tatooed on me, but I do have my kids names on my right arm. I never want to get a womans name tatooed on me because of a possible divorce, but with my kids its different, I love me kids and no matter what happens they will always be my kids. I suppose if you would get your wifes name tatooed on you and ended up getting a divorce a couple years down the road, you could always go back and get it covered up, people get tats covered all the time.

I agree. Getting your wife's name tattooed on you is BAD luck. My wife's cousin is a tattoo artist and he won't do it. Just won't. I also agree about getting your kids names . They will always be your kids forever ,no matter what. I have both my kids name on my back.
