The hoop that you loop a key ring through on my alarm fob broke so i have no way to connect it to the rest of my keys.

I only need the shell as i can just transfer the guts to a new shell.Anyone have one...

Or know where i can get one?

that would actually work...might be able to fab something up like that.

By fab i mean sew....yeah i went there.:icon_rofl:

It's okay for a man to know how to sew, especially since he can use that knowledge to patch himself or another back together in emergencies!

autozone has rubber things that wrap around the thing. I had the same problem and I have one of those on it now

Try Ebay for a complete replacement, they can usually be had for less than $10.

Thanks guys

I was thinking ebay but figured they would still be around 50 bucks.

I'm gonna check autozone tomorrow and see if they have one.

what particular vehicle are you needing this for? Post up the numbers on the backside of the case if you can.

98 ranger...just filled out my profile some.

It's not sewing it's upholstery, one of the original industrial arts:icon_twisted:

So if I'm reading this correctly, you could "fab" up some sweaters, maybe a few pot holders or a shift knob cover for those cold mornings.

Lets see the fab skills!

Hey,

I can sew. I actually made an attempt at patterns and such and am now damn decent at it.

Tailoring was a very good, reputable profession, and still is in many other parts of the world. It takes skill, practice, patience, and exact measuring.

Think of it as carpentry, but with textiles.

Automotive upholstery, seat covers, you guys that convert your Ranger's 60/40 bench to buckets, and your leather steering wheel can all be hand stitched.

And hey, your favorite sports cap had a hand-made prototype by a small business entrepreneur.

Good job, and I agree. Let's see those fab...*ahem*...sewing skills.

I know some of the previous comments were just jokes. but I'm sticking up for it. Just my $0.02.

Ok, fine. I'll admit it too then.....I can fab things using a needle and thread too. But only in the manliest of ways when an emergency calls for it!!
