I'm tired of washing dishes and listening to sorry ass waitress's who chose to serve BBQ as career bitch and complain about life.

I'm thinking about delivering pizza, some ppl ive talked to said its not that bad but others said it sucks and stay away from it. Anyone here delive pizza and have anything to say about it?

I used to dilver Chineese food.

It was pretty nice. Free crab cheese wan-tons and it was all under the table. $25 a night w/ $2 Comission per delivery and I got to keep tips. A decent way to make 200 bucks in a few hours.

I'm pretty sure it was a front for the Asian mob. They owned the laundramat and the liquor store on both sides.

I use to deliver and manage a few pizza places for almost 3 years. It was alright for the most part. Be prepared to wear you truck out pretty quickly. When I started, I took my time and didn't drive like I was racing but I quickly realized I wasn't getting many runs or money so I steped it up to atempt to make more money. After a few months had passed I started to notice both of the vehicles I used show some signs of wear. A couple of drive's I've known had 2 vehicles, 1 for work and 1 for other things. You CAN make great money. Friday and Saturday nights are busy as hell usually and a few nights I hit the $150+ mark. Just treat your tips as part of your hourly and set money aside for repairs.

If you want to hear people complain, check out www.tipthepizzaguy.com A lot of career drivers there complaining about everything under the sun. I've had a lot of drivers like that. It's a good college job if that's what you're looking at it as. If you have any questions let me know.

wow, i read through a little of that and theres about 10 tons of bull on that page. i might even start tipping less...i mean, if driving a pizza to somebody's house is that big of a deal, get up and work a 9-5 job like i do

+1 on that. I deliver car parts for Napa, and let me just say that I'm soo glad I drive the company vehicles around all day. If they made me drive my own vehicle around, I would never work there. Delivering puts tremendous wear and tear on the vehicles, not to mention I rack up a ton of mileage. (as much as 150 miles a day). You'll have to pay for gas (oh yea, I don't have to pay for that either :D) and maintenance/repairs on your truck if they make you use your own truck.

I delivered pizzas for a while, years ago. It's good money as a part time job to go with a 9-5 "normal" job. You only really make good money on friday and saturday nights, unless you live in a college town, then you might make good money during the week too.

The better mileage your car gets, the better, obviously.

This only gonna be a temp job till I'm done w/ Auto tech In June. I get tiers and brakes discounted through my school anyways so I'm not worred about that.

Right now I work about 20 hrs a week and after tax bring home $120 a week, frow what you guys say I should be able to to better then that. And the more time I can spend in my truck the better.

i deliver pizzas in my 96, the gas i burn is a little excessive however, i make anywhere between 250-300 a night. (including tips)

pizza delivery

I started delivery when I was trying to justify buying a new car (95 Mustang).

My math told me that I needed 12 hours a week to make car and insurance.
I actually used a 1960 Austin Healey for a while on deliveries.
Then I used my new Mustang for a bit until I realized that it was going to kill my car. Then I quit to take care of other stuff.

I got back in part time a few years ago and love it.
I then found (on a delivery) an Escort that needed a clutch for $250 and it was my delivery car from then on.

I found my 89 Ranger STX and my 91 4 banger on deliveries.

If you treat it as a job and do it right you can make good money.
plus free pizza if you work it right.
Highly recommend if you are looking to jump your budget a bit.

I'm actually looking to deliver again on the weekends just for that reason. I kinda need to get ahead. The college town thing... I've NEVER gotten more than a $2 tip from a college student. They do generate a lot of easy buisness.

Kunar, If you see a driver in an RBV tip us good, might be Southern or I. Heh, a few of the younger people I managed there were in college and did the job because of the hours and pay. They never bitched, most of the cry babies were the "career" drivers. 30+ usual and thier soul source of income.

Think I found a Job today! The place right around the corner from my house said One of there drivers is leaving after X mas and that they'd call me befor January.

They seemed pretty relaxed there And while I was filling out an app. they where asking me about what I drove and if I knew the area and they seemed intrested. And on top of it the one girl behind the counter was kinda hot.

I Sure hope it works out.
