Anybody use alpine type s comps

Anybody use ALPINE TYPE S components

I'm planning on running the alpine type s 6.5 components and matching 6x8s in my 98 explorer

What do you guys think of them and how good are they?

I plan on running a planet audio amp to all of them. The amp will be overkill but I'll set the gains low. Thanks

Yea I ran the typeR's they were nice. Iv always been happy with alpine stuff. Mtnrgr 6.5 seperates??? Are you refering to comp's were the tweeter is not in the center?

Yes, that is where the tweeter is seperate from the mid.

ok, not to be a retard and revive my own thread.

but, i wanna run a set of these in my pt cruiser.

i plan to run 6.5 comps in the front.

a pair of boston acoustic 6x8s in the rear.

and amping the front set and running the rears off the headunit power.

how will this sound?

i have an older high end panasonic headunit with a ton of equalizers built in so im sure i can dial em in pretty good.

first of all, hey guys whats up long time no see.


were are the speakers in relationship to the car. if your fronts are very low on the door it could sound funny. and hard to tune. as far as timeing. but if all four are in the doors you shoudl be ok. Vs two in the doors and two on the rear deck.
