Any Truck Drivers

Sorry i didnt mean to say you have to go to school but it is highly recommended that you do. for companies i'm sure they would rather hirer a person who went to a school then who trained with some person but it doesnt matter. ive never heard of a temp cdl either.

I think that once i get some seat time they really won't care what my training was as long as i have a clean record. Since I am a cautious driver I don't see there being an issue with that(but never know what the other idiots on the road will cause)

The Feds are prompting the states to all have the same regulations and are really clamping down. One requirement is a data base of every DOT physical. Illinois has started the program and Missouri has had road funds with held as they are slow to get the program started. So far intrastate agriculture related hauling is unaffected.

There is also a national database of tickets and fines that just started. Bad tire= 8 points, etc. 100Pts in a year and your CDL is suspended.

Lots to learn....:3gears:

This is bull$hit......... Depends on the 7 tier criteria and the severity of the fine(s). Typically you don't even get a letter until you are over 1000 points.

Look up CSA2010 and do some reading. Nothing is set in stone yet, but there are a lot of theories on how it will cost a lot of drivers their job.

If a carrier wants to clean up their record all they need to do is fire the drivers with the most violations and request that record be deleted from the results.

In the beginning we started calling it a 'point system' when it was introduced almost 2 years ago and now it is a 'tier system' in DOT speak.

We've had literature involving this posted on our bulletin board at work [UPS Freight] for about a year.

So far the agriculture segment has avoided most of the new regulations and have ran many radio adds in St. Louis involving new documentation requirements and CDL requirements and how it would affect the cost of grain and thus add to inflated cost for all grain base products.

Here, EVERY equipment violation is taken very seriously and if a ticket results in a fine a driver better be prepared to get written up. Three writeups and you get fired.
