Any thoughts on a tach. problem?

90 2.9 auto. new plugs & wires no misfire. The tach reads at least 1k high. shows 2000 idle. No codes. Thanks, Greg

Are you really sure it's reading high? Maybe not and your IAC is bad.

i think mine reads just like 1500 idle ive never thought about it be4

Today it was almost normal, 1000 idle, 2800 running down the road. I suspect a connection problem, will have to check it out this weekend. Thanks Greg
