any one useing a BTM to take timming out of there engine?

im trying not to spend any or very little money i have lots of parts a A trim vortech supercharger, oil lines, fmu and so on. i just need to pull some timming out i have a vortech BTM is there any way to make it work with the 96 being that it is a dis has any one used one to do this or a dis system?????

I'm a big time turbo guy but I don't understand what your saying.
 
BTM boost timing master built by msd it pulls timing out as you build boost it has a dash control knob you can pull 1 to 3deg of timing out per pound of boost you are adding
 
I've never heard a definative answer on whether or not these will work on a DIS equipped vehicle. Unless you're running high boost, like 12+ PSI (good luck with that on such an aftermarket-less engine as the 3.0), pulling timing should be the last of your worries. Get the A/F's right and then see if you need to mess with the timing.
 
Oh. Hmm.... I don't know the dis system that well. I use a megasquirt controlled edis.
 
only going to run 6 psi maybe 8 a wide band o2 and a fmu should take care of the a/f and a can retune my maf
