I'm looking at upgrading the front brakes to the 2 piston caliper on my 1994 ranger. I seen it on the one page I'm just looking to see if someone has a page where they did it. my front brakes are not holding to good to do a burn out. also the truck will not stall up much.

You probably have another problem. Your front brakes should be able to hold you enough to do a good burn out. You should really look into that, since the upgrade may not help if the problem isn't in the hoses or calipers.

But I will never argue with anyone who wants better brakes.

I have not seen an actual write up, but it is not difficult.

You will need the knuckles and calipers/brackets from a 95-97 truck.

Then you just tear it down as if you were doing ball joints, take the axle nuts off, knock the knuckle out, and put it back together with the new stuff.

Might not have enough whoopie to spin the tires with the brakes on hard enough to hold the truck back so you are backing off too.

The guys that do it a lot (for racing) have a valve the shuts off the brakes to the rear so it isn't fighting them.

The best brakestand in the high school parking lot was a '94 4.0 Ranger 2wd scab. Blew all everybody else away for smoke quantity and quality. Arguably he had the most practice at it though too...
