Me and my friend got started into coon opossum, skunk, coyote and fox trapping this past season. I was just curious as to if there are any TRS trappers. maybe we could get a decent discussion going on here. and if there are any avid trappers here be sure to join the www.wild-about-trapping.com forums. -paul

see now everything you trap i just blast the shit outta with my shotgun or 25-06 not much into the trapping but i do love shoot a bunch of them critters

Just like fising..I catch and release!!!! I don't eat 4 legged animals. I should find the pic of the possum I recently trapped and released in my back yard. There is a link here since I posted it up once. It was a very huge possum. I'll try to find it. My back yard is full of wildlife....no hunting here. I'll post up some photos when I find them.

we fur them out. u can pull in $55-100 per coyote hide. $15-40 for coon, and the big one is bobcats........ $75- 500 and its funner then hell. you gotta be careful though.... last month me and my buddy i trap with came across a dead body in the creek we run.

i was thinking about getting into it but i dont no what you all need as far as the legal end goes (in canada)

i trap mostly gray foxes and occasionally i target something else. have done some coyote, goose, fisher and coons. coons were easiest. all i did was put some branches on a stone wall making a tunnel and threw some sardines down the tunnel. next day i had one on each side. got 5 out of that set in a week. caught a goose in a fox set once.

Don't really do much of it, one summer we caught 27 raccoons, 5 opposums and a skunk in our garage in a live trap. The skunk kind of ended the fun, it was quite an ordeal to get the stupid thing out of the garage and out of the trap without spraying... but we did.

Down in Tennessee and especially in florida, we .22 the coons. At night you can legally light em up in the trees. Or dog'em and take maybe 12-13 a night.
