My truck is a 97 ranger, 4.0L My brother has a spare 94 ranger 4.0L morot in the garage.

I want to rebuild my motor and get more ponies out of it, but if i can send off the 94 and have it done to it, and not have any down time with my race truck, that would be amazing.

on my current 97 motor, i have pacesetter headers, new heads that are port/polished with new pushrods, springs, and valves, and my aluminum lower intake manifold is port/polished to match the heads.

Could i install these components on the 94 motor and not have any mounting issues? does the 94 use the same motor mounts as the 97?

Any help would be amazing,

Thanks

I believe the only difference between the 94 and 97 4.0 hoc engines is the number of bolts attaching the flywheel to the crank I believe the 94 has 6 bolts and the 97 has more, so you'd have to use the corresponding flywheel or you'll run into problems lining the two up, otherwise I believe it's the same casting just a different crank and flywheel on the later 96on up... Correct me if I'm wrong
