Here in NWI the craft brew scene seems to be ever growing. Lots of breweries near by and quite the variety of beer at the local liquor stores. My favorite has just been released earlier this month, Hopslam. Wondering if any fellow TRS members indulge in a little beer "snobbery" and what they like. Big names around here are Three Floyds, Bell's, Founders, Crown, Figure 8, and Shoreline.

Do I qualify if I have a shirt that says "Lord of the Beers?"

Maredsous is my beer of choice. I love good beers, but the best ones are still cold, free and yours.

Around here we are lucky enough to have a bar that specializes in craft brew. With twenty rotating taps, numerous meads, an abundant bottled selection, and a beer engine offering "live ale". The place is http://beergeekspub.com/. I know many people flock to this region to sample some FFF's around Dark Lord Day and this spot is really taking off. The decor is alone is worth checking out on their site.

My all time favorite would be the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter. And a close second would be the Great Lakes Brewery, yearly Christmas Ale. Up in Toledo we also have Maumee Bay Brewery that makes an amazing Fire Roasted White Pumpkin Ale

I love beer. I also brew (take it up beer lovers!). My favorite beer brewed so far was a Rye Stout. It was one of the 1st all grain beers I brewed.

As far as the pros go, I'm all over. I love heavier beers like barley wines and imperial stouts but anything hoppy will work for me too...Those are usually what I go for. I don't think there are many beers out there that I don't like but I'm mainly an ale drinker.

My go to is Sierra Nevada, which is also one I brew quite often. My other favorites are anything by Troegs (Nugget Nectar is my fav) Anchor Steam, Old Rasputin, Rogue Brown Hazelnut Ale, Arrogant Bastard from Stone Brewing and many others I'm sure I'm forgetting....

ninkasi tricerahops! So hoppy, and comes in a 650 ml bottle. My ranger would be done now if it werent for it, lol.
