Any advice greatly appriciated

when my truck is hot and i try to start it, if i dont keep the key turned and cranking till i know its turned over and i let off the key i have to push start it. i was told it was a sensor??? any ideas what this could be?

what engine do you have if a 4.0 look at the back of the intake air box there is a cold start temp sensor thing don't know exactly how much it actually it affects the starting but do some research on it.
