i have a 1994 ford ranger 4.0 4x4 if i hold the throttle to the floor it cuts out bad it dont matter how fas or slow your going if you hold it about half throttle it runs fine the engine is warm i cant figure it out thanks for the help

Replace the fuel filter.

Not sayin that's your problem but dfurther diagnosis is difficult until you throw a filter into it.

i have seen these symptoms on other vehicles that ended up being T.P.S.

but as already stated: without having a "known-Good" fuel filter it will be hard

but a volt meter on your tps will be able to take readings at idle and w.o.t. to determine if it is operating within spec

i also suggest having the local muffler shop test your cat to see if it is clogged (i've also seen similar symptoms that turned out to be a seriously clogged cat)

i had this problem on my 3.0 ut was because it was pulling air in the intke after the mass air flow check you tube to make sure there isn't any holes or any place air can get in
